      My son and daughter had the benefit of Mohamed?s company Colours of Morocco three years ago. They travelled with him for 4 days through Morocco. My son was fulsome in praise for a person he had not met before; for his attention to detail, his understanding and his humanity.. When we were to travel to Morocco not only did he recommend places to stay and explorations, but the services of a man named Mohamed El Mouwahidi Now he is proud to consider his father has considered and adopted his recommendation, having spoken with Mohamed via email. Australia is far from Morocco so many emails went back and forth. Mohamed is an educated man who is passionate about Morocco?s cultural history, displaying a depth of knowledge of many cultures. Educated on scholarship in Canada, he has an understanding of his own heritage and the place of modern society. My wife, her sister, and I were fortunate to have his guidance and the security of his knowledge. We also travelled by car from Fes to Marrakech with a stop in Rabat with a member of Colours of Morocco. When in Marrakech Mohamed became our guide for 2 days. On the final morning the company picked us up by car outside Cafe France for the airport. It wasn?t my arrangement, but Mohamed?s, and there was no payment. I have little doubt that Mohamed El Mouwahidi?s company Colours of Morocco will become a significant part of people?s entry and participation into the life and times of Morocco.       What a terrific experience ! We were greeted warmly by Mohamed and my husband and I instantly felt at ease with him. His English is impeccable, his knowledge of his country is endless and his ability to identify flora and fauna along our route was an added bonus. Sitting comfortably in his spotlessly clean Toyota Land Cruiser we spent two days with Mohamed and we were captivated by the experiences on both days. Such a beautiful country and Mohamed's stories and knowledge of the way of life in the Berber villages we passed through, the souk we shopped at and the goatherds we passed was fascinating. We laughed at the children who took pleasure in running alongside us as we slowed our pace through their villages. Mohamed was well prepared with sweets for the kids and some coins for the less fortunate locals who we passed along the way. We talked about politics, travel, literature and food and Mohamed sent me a link to some Moroccan recipes on my phone whilst explaining to me how to preserve lemons ! During the 2.5 hrs drive to and from Essaouira he selected music for us to listen to which he thought represented a good mix of popular Moroccan artists with well known world musicians such as Sting and Peter Gabriel. Listening to the beat and the sounds added to the journey and was truly evocative. I can still hear the songs in my head having arrived home and I have found some of the tracks online. Mohamed singing along will have to remain in our memory as we are not aware he has released any versions online !! Shukraan and Merci Mohamed !! ????

A partir de Marrakech, nous avons sillonné l’Atlas jusqu’au Sahara, dans des paysages magnifiques. Notre groupe de 5 personnes a toujours été en sécurité dans un 4x4 récent en parfait état, conduit par notre guide-organisateur érudit Mohammed, qui sait parfaitement s’adapter aux attentes de ses clients. L’ambiance était joyeuse, les étapes choisies étaient très confortables, la cuisine excellente.       Escribo estas líneas también en español para animar a los turistas de habla hispana a visitar Marrakech y alrededores con "Colours of Morocco". Mohamed es una persona y un guía excepcional. No habla español pero su dominio del francés y el inglés son absolutos (además del árabe y el bereber). Conoce la región como la palma de su mano. Es una verdadera enciclopedia con conocimientos de historia, geografía y hasta de matemáticas. Viajar con él es aprender y disfrutar. It has been a real pleasure travelling with Mohamed. His SUV is the most comfortable vehicle you can get to go off road while visiting amazing places around Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. Mohamed is smart, polite and knows "everything" about Moroccan history (and beyond). I recommend Mohamed as a guide with no hesitation. Quelle plaisir de voyager avec Mohamed. Il est un guide exceptionnel. Il connait TOUT sur la région de Marrakech et sur le Maroc. Mais pas seulement. Il est un véritable professeur d'histoire.       I recommend Mohammed without question! He was an excellent driver and guide, starting us off with a question, Who are the Berbers? He then delved into their history, as well as the history of the region. He knows a great deal about his country - we learned much and thoroughly enjoyed it. He ably navigated us through four valleys and knew every turn, including where best to take a little walk, get good pictures, etc. We especially loved his love for the children of the area. He brought along biscuits and a few gifts for the kids he knew he would see. We would stop periodically so he could brighten the kids' day. Excellent. Thanks again for a great tour!

      We had great day-trip to the Atlas mountains and Ourika valley in the very capable hands of our guide Mohammad. He is a very informative man with a wealth of knowledge of the area, Moroccan culture, history and its religion.He is a very competent 4x4 driver and took us off road to get some great views of the mountains, we felt completely safe with Mohammad in the driving seat. I thoroughly recommend this company to anyone visiting Morocco. Thank you Mohammad and Colours of Morocco.

      My sister and I traveled with Mohammed from Marrakesh to Merzouga. It was a 3 day trip and it was by far the best journey of my life! It is impossible not to love Mohammed. He is one of the greatest human beings I have met in the world. Literally, we have toured in France, England, Ireland, Hungary, Australia, the US, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Spain, etc. I have never experienced a better trip than our trip to Morocco with Mohammed. Morocco is beautiful in its own right, but having Mohammed show us around and explain the culture and scenic views we were looking at enriched our experience 10 fold. We even learned Arabic and Berber! Mohamed is very knowledgeable about all of Morocco and all of the world. He does not push his own understanding, but rather tailors your trip to to take you where you want to go and to teach you what you want to learn. No question is off limits. I was very intrigued about Islam and the middle east culture and politics and Mohamed answered all of my questions thoroughly and was engaging the entire time. He should be a professor. I believe his dad was and I believe his sister is as well. He is brilliant and personable and accommodating. He also had the BEST music playlist for the 10 hour drive to the desert! A collection of the greatest hits from all cultures around the world. He lived in Canada for a while so his English is perfect, which was an added bonus for us since we only speak a little French and

      We spent 4 days with Mohammed in early feb and visited the atlas mountains, sahara and the gorges..it was the highlight of our trip to Morocco!! the 4x4 was really comfortable, sometimes too comfortable for snoozin on the back seat!! Mohammed was really good knowledgable and good fun and he is like an encyclopedia he knows so much!! we stayed at lovely hotels esp Xaluca Dades (wish we could have stayed longer) we wouldnt hesitate tobook with Mohammed again and will recommend him to everyone we know (or dont know!!) thanks for a great trip hope to see you again!!

      We took a day long trip into the Atlas Mountains with Mohammed, that included visits to various villages, a trip into some of the more isolated areas, and a visit to a women's cooperative. We were impressed by the breadth and depth of Mohammed's knowledge of the area, of the history of Morocco as a whole, and of the international issues that have affected the area and the countries surrounding it. Mohammed also helped us learn about Islam and the history of Islamic development. We could not have asked for a more comprehensive and thorough tour guide. I recommend this company highly.

      Between December 18th and 25 2010, Mohammed took care of me and 4 other family members and 2 friends in our party. He put together our trip starting at Marrakesh, through the Atlas mountains and ending up in Fes. He arranged an itinerary including all of the main sights to see and things to do, he drove us in his new and reliable 4x4 vehicle and arranged hotels for us. His guidance and company was excellent. He always gave us options and never pressured us on what we chose to do. His driving was very safe and comfortable, which was especially useful on some high roads through the mountains.       Notre excursion dans les montagnes du Haut-Atlas et le désert de Merzouga a sans aucun doute été la meilleure partie de notre voyage au Maroc! Notre guide était plus que sympathique, aidant et éducatif. Il s'est rapidement adapté à nos besoins et nous a fait découvrir le Maroc comme on le voulait. Les paysages étaient tous plus spectaculaires les unes que les autres.       Après quelques jours à Marrakech en janvier 2010 nous n'avions plus que 3 jours pour découvrir un peu plus le Maroc, Mohamed nous a permis de déterminer le meilleur circuit en tenant compte de nos impératifs. Nous avons pu apprécier les paysages les plus variés entre montagne , palmeraies et désert, confortablement installés dans le 4X4 de Mohamed . Plus qu 'un guide, c'est un ami qui partage avec vous sa grande connaissance du pays et des hommes et qui reste toujours à notre écoute s'adaptant à nos goûts et à nos envies.Nous avons vécu de belles rencontres avec des bergers nomades, des repas délicieux loin des restaurants touristiques, nous sommes revenus la tête pleine de belles images, des couleurs du Maroc et et avec beaucoup de belles photos qui doivent tout à la patience et à la gentillesse de notre guide.       We recently returned from a four day trip with Mohammed, encompassing the Merzouga desert, Toudra and Dades gorges etc. It was absolutely brilliant and we couldn't recommend it more highly. Mohammed's 4x4 was very comfortable and he was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, informative, friendly, funny and a great driver! Everything was impeccably organised, from our wonderful night in the desert to our accommodation in the Atlas mountains, the sights we saw and the restaurants we visited, serving delicious Moroccan dishes. The history, stories and local detail Mohammed shared with us along the way really added to our experience, and made us feel we were getting a real insight into the culture and lives of Moroccan people. We are already hoping to return to Morocco, and would definitely use Mohammed as a guide again. Thanks for the trip of a lifetime.

      we have just returned from a trip into the atlas mountains with mohamed. best thing we ever did, the vehicle was very comfortable and as a 4x4 we were able to go off road and visit some amazing places. mohamed was a very interesting person and very informative. we had a lovely lunch out included in the excursion price. overhaul we would recomend colours of morrocco very highly, you will not be dissapointed. thank you mohamed for giving us a lovely day out. we are now considering a trip to the sahara with them
