Excursion Berber Trail

This amazing trip can be done at any time of the year. In a Toyota land cruiser ,with an English speaking driver you will discover the traditional Berber villages ( visit a Berber house).You will see colorful landscape, snow ( in winter),forest, valleys.quince, olive, prune ,walnut, almond trees etc...The drive will reach 1800 m.high… along strips and small terraces of fertile land where the Berbers work miracles with a donkey for ploughing and trashing.

 

 *** Visit of a Berber weekly market is possible on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

 08:30departure from Marrakesh, towards Tahanout ( about 1000 m )( berber market on Tuesdays), Asni (1100 m ) (Berber market on Saturdays)

From Asni, you go left through the off road Sidi Fares ( about 2 hours 15)

Then to the main road linking between Marrakesh and Oukeimden( the ski station)

Turn left as if going back to Marrakesh, to join the road to the Ourika Valley and Setti Fadma.

Lunch in front of the atlas mountains in one of the best terraces,..

After lunch continue up in the mountains till setti fadma.

Back to Marrakesh by 16:00
